Introduced in 1988, the 996 was the first radical offshoot of the original 990. The 996’s technological features represented six years of evolution, and featured a subtly streamlined exterior design, making for an exceptionally wearable, high-performance shoe. This longtime fan favorite makes its return for the first time since 2021, in the Spring 2023 MADE in USA Seasonal Collection. The MADE in USA 996 is outfitted with a premium hairy suede and mesh upper featuring ‘NB navy’ with neutral toned foxing providing a soft sense of contrast. The design is rounded out with a woven tongue label and sockliner.
